Martin Edwards announced as guest speaker for Evolve Leaders Lunch

Local business leaders are invited to the next Evolve Leaders Lunch on Friday 10 October, where Martin Edwards, Chief Executive of Julia’s House Children’s Hospice, will be the guest speaker, in a Q&A with Evolve founder, Warren Munson.

Celebrating his 20th anniversary at the helm of Julia’s House this year, Martin will share the story of his leadership journey, spanning a period of distinct growth, change and challenges for the award-winning charity.

Under his leadership, Julia’s House has won several awards for staff engagement and Martin works closely with the care team to help ensure high quality services.

Throughout 2025, Martin is taking part in an array of fundraising challenges – with an aim of raising £100,000 – including an ultra-marathon, a skydive, a tractor pull, abseiling down Spinnaker Tower, an Army fitness test and a 110km walk between the Wiltshire and Dorset hospices.

Held at Marsham Court Hotel, Bournemouth, the bi-annual Leaders Lunch event – sponsored by Ellis Jones Solicitors and Azets – welcomes the region’s business leaders for an afternoon of networking, a three-course lunch and discussion.

Speaking about the event, Martin said: “I’m honoured to be part of the Evolve Leaders Lunch and to share my journey with other business leaders who care deeply about making a difference. Leading Julia’s House for the past 20 years has been an absolute privilege – and I hope my story helps others see the power of purpose in leadership and business.”

Host, Warren Munson added: “Martin’s story is an inspiring example of leadership that goes beyond profit. His commitment to Julia’s House and the wider community is nothing short of extraordinary. I can’t think of a better guest speaker to remind us all what it means to lead with heart and purpose.”
