Aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage business owners across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are invited to come along to a Start-Up Business Breakfast event in Poole next week, designed to inspire, inform and support local people at the beginning of their business journey.

Taking place on Tuesday 3 March, 08.30-11.00 at Evolve Townhouse in Poole, the informal morning event is being delivered by the team at Evolve, in partnership with BCP Council, and is open to anyone living in the BCP Council area who is considering starting a business, or are within their first three years of trading.

The aim of the breakfast event is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where founders can connect with like-minded people, hear honest experiences from local business owners, and gain top tips into funding, networks and support available to them locally.

At the heart of the event will be a panel discussion featuring three Dorset-based business owners who have successfully launched and grown their own businesses locally. The panel will be hosted by David Mutton, Business Advisor at Evolve, and will explore the realities of starting out – including the challenges faced, opportunities identified and lessons learned along the way. The panel includes:

  • Joe Hayes, Founder of Kindful Creative – a content-led marketing agency helping ambitious brands grow through strategic storytelling, digital marketing and creative campaigns.
  • Adam Thompson, Co-Founder of Photo Experience – a leader in tourism and event photography, working with some of the UK’s most iconic attractions to enhance visitor experience and drive commercial growth.
  • Natalie Furness, Founder of RevOps Automated – a Bournemouth-based Revenue Operations specialist supporting B2B businesses to align sales, marketing and customer service for sustainable growth.

David commented: “Starting a business can feel very exciting, but daunting at the same time. This breakfast event is about creating a relaxed, supportive space where people can ask questions, hear real stories and realise they’re not alone in the challenges they’re facing.

“Dorset has a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and we’re proud to be working with BCP Council to help local start-ups take their first steps, confidently.”

The Start Up Business Breakfast is ideal for people exploring a new business idea, founders in their first three years of trading, and anyone looking to connect with others on a similar journey. It’s free to attend, thanks to funding from BCP Council through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, but places are limited and advance registration is required.
