One thing I always come back to is how nimble we are as a business. If something needs to change, we act on it. Quickly. There is no long drawn out process for the sake of it. It is more about what makes sense and getting on with it. That pace keeps things interesting and means you feel like you are always moving forward.
A big part of that comes from Warren Munson , the founder of Evolve. He has always been clear on where we are going as a business and what we need to do to get there. We have strategy team updates, which keeps everyone aligned and makes it easier to focus on what actually matters to keep us growing and moving forward. There is a clear direction, but also the freedom to figure out how you need and want to contribute to it.
There is also a lot of trust. You are trusted to do your job, to make decisions, and to speak up if something does not feel right. You are encouraged to question what we are doing and why. That might sound simple, but it makes a big difference. It means we as a team take ownership and care about the outcome.
For me though, it mostly comes down to the people. Everyone here is a ‘doer’. There is a shared mindset of getting stuck in, whilst having some fun along the way. We all take pride in our work and in helping businesses move forward. We are close enough to see the difference it makes to the businesses we are supporting, which keeps it interesting and gives the work more meaning day to day.
Looking back over the last seven years, it has been fun to be part of the growth. Watching the business grow and change, seeing new ideas come to life, and being involved in that change has been genuinely rewarding. It has never felt static, and I do not think it ever will, which is exactly how I like it.
