In the 40+ business events Evolve have organised over the past four years, we have gained important insight in what makes an event successful, not just for you as the organiser but as well as the participants. Here are our top tips to make your next event one that people remember:

Give your event a theme and use this theme in your messaging prior to and during the event 

Let someone else host your event – this will leave you free to engage with your guests and not be drawn into organisation

The venue and facilities need to be picked carefully, to ensure the event will run as smooth as possible    

Focus on your audience and what they want to hear, include audience participation – people love to be heard!

Mixing delivery styles, make sure you don’t lose the concentration of your audience – mix it up a little!

Make sure your AV is on point – your guests need to be able to hear and see at all times, no matter where they are sitting

An opportunity to capture great content in the form of pictures, video and sound bites

The good news is you don’t have to worry about any of these things – leave the experts (us!) to worry about the finer details, while you concentrate on networking with your guests!

Amy Martin is the Events Manager at Evolve. She has worked in the events industry for almost ten years and loves bringing people together and thriving off the atmosphere an event creates.

Amy ensures smooth running of each event – big or small! Amy will organise everything from event marketing, venue, catering, event ticket sales, event set up, welcoming guests and on-site management of the event.

Being a stickler for detail, Amy will make sure no stone is left unturned and will keep you in the loop at all times during the course of organisation and delivery.

Warren

Warren Munson is Founder of Evolve and also multi award-winning tax and business advisory firm, Inspire, which he successfully sold to international firm Azets.

A forward-thinking, innovative and sometimes disruptive industry leader, Warren’s own personal journey, together with his deep industry knowledge and experience working with an array of entrepreneurs and business leaders, gives him a unique insight into what it takes to succeed – both personally and professionally.

Warren is an engaging individual, who has hosted large business conferences, Q&A panels and key note speaker.

Oliver

Oliver is the Content Marketing Executive at Evolve. He worked as an award-winning journalist in South Africa for twenty years before moving to the UK and joining Evolve in early 2019.

Oliver is responsible for creating content to evoke discussion and inform Evolve members about a range of topics, from leadership, growth and inspiration to innovation, disruption and wellbeing.

At events, Oliver can be found behind the camera and taking notes to create post event content. Oliver also writes symposium white papers, which are shared with the organisers and participants.
